RDR is seeking a Field Safety professional to round out our Safety Team across Ohio and West Virginia. This position reports directly to the Director of Safety and must work collaboratively with site leadership, employees, and clients to effectively identify and deliver business aligned safety solutions.

Job Summary:
  • Perform and document daily inspections on assigned jobsites, reviewing housekeeping, equipment and machinery conditions, environmental concerns, and other safety-related issues to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and company regulations.
  • Facilitate safety and compliance training as needed to educate employees on jobsite safety practices, potential health hazards, and methods to reduce or eliminate workplace risks.
  • Communicate daily with RDR management, safety personnel, and employees to keep each jobsite informed of updates to safety regulations, procedures, and programs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local client representatives and agencies, provide required compliance information, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Lead corrective actions for environmental, safety, and health issues identified through audits, insurance reviews, or internal assessments.
  • Investigate accidents to identify root causes and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Partner with the Director of Safety to implement programs and processes that reduce incidents and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Pre-project planning of health and safety plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and standards
  • Completion of OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and OSHA 500 training programs
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to field locations
  • Experience executing and auditing safe work procedures
  • Ability to coordinate and support incident investigations, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Experience implementing and monitoring injury prevention programs
  • Ability to develop, track, and support specific safety goals and performance objectives
  • Experience with pre‑project safety and health planning, including site‑specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP/JHA)
  • Conduct EHS audits and inspections, including oversight of contractor safety performance
  • Preferred experience working with or inspecting utility and/or energy‑related operations

Preferred Certifications (One or More Beneficial, Not Required):
CSP: Certified Safety Professional
CIH: Certified Industrial Hygienist
CFPS: Certified Fire Protection Specialist
CHMM: Certified Hazardous Materials Manager
SMS: Safety Management Specialist
CHST: Construction Health and Safety Technician
