RDR is seeking a Precast Technician to round out our Ready-Mix team.
 
Job Summary: 
  • Work with co-workers to strip, set-up and pour the form in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal quality.
  • Take feedback and direction from leadership.
  • Maintain a safe environment through housekeeping and organizational skills
  • Provide efficiency improvement opportunities through repetition and awareness.
  • Have knowledge of quality control programs and be able to perform quality work.
  • Come to work on time and consistently with a good attitude and work the hours needed to fulfill the job requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of day-to-day tasks that are performed and are aware of what the next step is without being told.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Willing and able to work safely in a construction environment.
  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs. bend, stoop, kneel and climb.
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
  • Licensed and insurable driver for a Class D vehicle.
  • CDL A/B is a plus.
  • Read a tape measure and have good general math knowledge.
  • Leadership history is a plus.
  • Precast experience is a plus.
  • Develop precast concrete product formulations and manufacturing technologies.
  • Prepare process charts, instructions and reports.
  • Control compliance with technologies at each stage.
  • In case of product defects, identify their causes and take measures for their elimination.
  • Ensure the production optimization process by improving the composition and quality of concrete.
  • Technical education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete production.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Skills in budgeting, material costing, and expense management.
